VOLUNTEER SPECIFICATION
VOLUNTEER ROLE DESCRIPTION
The following is a list of essential and desirable qualities and experiences required by the Trustees and Coordinator of Pembrokeshire Sibling Group for the role of volunteer children’s supervisor.
ESSENTIAL
• Experience of working with children
• Experience of working or living with people who have a physical or learning difficulty Aged 18 or above
• Willingness to voice opinions and ideas
• Ability to act on own initiative A desire to work with children of all ages Good listening skills An approachable and patient personality
• A police check, if not possessed one will be carried out
• A driving license
DESIRABLE
The main duties are:
• Supervision of the children
• First aid training
• To be willing to go on overnight stays
• Ensuring the health and safety of the children
• Interaction with the children

The members of Pembrokeshire Sibling Group are brothers and sisters of disabled children and are aged between 7 and 18. A volunteer must have the ability to deal with children of all ages both separately and in groups. The Coordinator is in charge of the running of the trips and acts under the instruction of the trustees.
